A Devotional For All - June 11, 2026

By Rev. Dr. David C. Camps, Sr.

Your life has a fourth quarter. Last night, the Knicks walked into the fourth quarter down 29 points — written off, counted out, and statistically finished.

And yet… they rose.

That’s the kind of turnaround that feels less like basketball and more like Bible study in motion.

Because Scripture teaches us that God specializes in impossible deficits.

• Isaiah 40:29 — “He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength.”

• Psalm 46:5 — “God is within her; she will not fall. God will help her at break of day.”

• Galatians 6:9 — “Let us not grow weary in well‑doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The Knicks didn’t faint.

They didn’t fold.

They didn’t accept the narrative written about them.

They fought — and the momentum shifted.

🏀Your Life Has a Fourth Quarter Too

Somebody reading this is in their own “down by 29” season.

The numbers don’t add up.

The clock feels unfriendly.

People have counted you out.

But hear this in your spirit:

God does not need ideal conditions to give you a victory.

He just needs you to stay in the game.

The comeback is never about the scoreboard — it’s about the strength, the spirit, and the staying power God puts in you.

Lord, thank You for reminding us through something as simple as a basketball game that no deficit is too deep, no situation too far gone, and no season too late for You to turn it around. Strengthen our hands, renew our hope, and help us keep pressing until the victory You promised manifests. Amen.
